Ballintoy

This small village is situated between Bushmills and Ballycastle on the Causeway coastal route. Despite being a village, it has an abundance of shops, accommodations, a few bars, and restaurants. This is certainly one of our best and most picturesque locations due to its diverse selection of coastal features and landscape, not forgetting the beautiful little fishing harbour that nestles snugly at the bottom of the corkscrew Harbour road at Knocksaughey Hill.

Ballintoy happens to be more renowned for Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, which is located right on the edge of the village. At almost 100 feet high and 65 feet long, it has been traditionally used to transport Salmon fishermen to and from Carrick Island for almost 350 years! Nowadays it attracts over 250,000 visitors per year as one of Northern Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions.

Ballintoy Harbour was recently used as a location for filming the second series of the HBO hit series and Emmy-nominated Game of Thrones.
